Allnorth is a multidisciplinary engineering, project delivery, and construction services company. We provide smart and practical project solutions to clients in the metals and minerals, energy and renewables, fiber and chemicals, and infrastructure sectors. With offices across Canada and the United States, we continue to grow!

Our Ideal Candidate

You are a proven geomatics and survey leader who thrives in both technical and people leadership environments. You bring a strong background in construction surveying and large-scale natural resource projects, paired with the ability to mentor teams, build strong client relationships, and drive operational excellence.

You enjoy balancing field operations, business strategy, and team development while helping shape the future of a growing geomatics group. Whether it’s mentoring future leaders, supporting major projects, or improving operational systems and technical standards, you take pride in making an impact.

At Allnorth, you’ll play a key role in leading and growing our survey and geomatics team while partnering with technical leaders and clients to deliver exceptional results across a diverse portfolio of projects.

A Day in the Life

As a Geomatics Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, operational management, and long-term strategic development of the survey and geomatics team. This role combines technical leadership, team development, and client engagement to support successful project delivery and continued growth.

Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Leading and supporting a team of field and office-based geomatics professionals across multiple projects and regions
  • Delegating workloads and ensuring resources are aligned to support project execution and client needs
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and project stakeholders
  • Partnering with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment, workforce planning, and retention strategies
  • Leading onboarding, mentorship, and development initiatives for new and existing team members
  • Providing technical guidance and training on survey methodologies, best practices, and geomatics technologies
  • Supporting the development and enhancement of technical specifications, survey standards, and internal training programs
  • Collaborating with technical leaders to evaluate emerging equipment, software, and industry technologies
  • Supporting annual operational planning and helping drive execution of business objectives for the geomatics group
  • Conducting occasional travel to project sites and remote locations to support operations and performance development
What You’ll Bring To The Team
  • Diploma in Engineering Technology or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience within a survey and geomatics environment, with strong exposure to construction surveying on major resource, industrial, or infrastructure projects
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams of technical professionals, ideally within a consulting or project-based environment
  • Strong understanding of survey operations, field technologies, and geomatics best practices
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing technical staff and future leaders
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand client needs and support value-driven solutions
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence across teams and stakeholders
  • Strong decision-making, judgement, and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced operational environments
  • A collaborative leadership style with a focus on accountability, trust, and team development
  • Willingness to travel within the operating region, including occasional remote and overnight travel
What’s in it for you?

We believe that a happy and fulfilled team leads to exceptional results, which is why we offer a range of perks designed to support your well-being, career growth and community engagement.

  • Flexible work arrangements that support work-life balance
  • Comprehensive benefits package including extended health and dental coverage and RRSP matching
  • Employee Assistance Program for team members and their families
  • Professional development and career growth opportunities
  • A collaborative, team-first culture focused on long-term success
  • Team member referral program
  • Monthly Lunch & Learn sessions
  • Opportunities to give back through community involvement, fundraising initiatives, and team events
WE TAKE CARE OF YOU SO YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF OUR CLIENTS

In joining us, you’ll face rewarding, career-developing challenges that enable you to contribute to our clients’ successes, and despite how much we grow, you’ll never be just a number, but rather a valued member of the Allnorth team.
