BW Gold Health and Safety Supervisor

Join BW Gold as the Supervisor of Health and Safety at the Blackwater Mine in British Columbia.

Your role focuses on leading safety initiatives and team coaching in a rotating schedule.

In this pivotal role, you’ll report to the Health and Safety Superintendent and be responsible for developing and implementing safety strategies. Your leadership will guide wellness initiatives, risk management processes, and incident investigation procedures. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a natural leadership ability and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce BW Gold’s comprehensive safety standards

• Coach and mentor Safety and Training personnel

• Develop ongoing safety management tools and resources

• Support incident reporting and investigation processes

• Collaborate with management to ensure compliance

Requirements:

• 7-10 years’ experience in mining health and safety

• Proven management experience in a mining environment

• Familiarity with Mine Act and safety regulations

• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities

• Able to work in remote locations under challenging conditions
