ABOUT YOU

You are a collaborative and organized professional with experience in project coordination, community engagement, or program management. You excel at building relationships, managing multiple priorities, and supporting initiatives that create positive community impact. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with a passion for inclusive and thriving communities, will help you succeed in this role.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Regional Coordinator, you will support United Way BC’s community impact work by coordinating projects, managing grant processes, and building strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders across the northern region of the province.


* This position is based in Prince George, BC. It is a temporary full-time position with a scheduled one (1) year term to provide leave coverage. As a temporary position, the term may be extended or concluded earlier based on operational requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination
  • Manages projects, events, initiatives such as consultations, capacity building, and investment portfolios
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans and project schedules
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
  • Reconciles program budgets and identifies to the Manager potential risks and mitigations strategies
  • Coordinates grant investments, capacity building, knowledge sharing, and reporting on a regional portfolio
  • Assists with implementing engagement strategies and tactics that ensure consistent and open communications, and mutual understanding of mandates and goals
  • Participates in mobilizing the community networks to address issues in the identified portfolios
  • Represents United Way on relevant task forces and networks
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management
  • Facilitates the relationships between community stakeholders and United Way BC (UWBC) regional initiatives
  • Liaises between UWBC, partner organizations and community agencies, providing information and organizational development assistance
  • Assists with implementing engagement strategies and tactics that ensure consistent and open communications, and mutual understanding of mandates and goals
  • Represents United Way on relevant task forces and networks
General
  • Performs other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job
  • May participate in supporting regional operational requirements (e.g. fundraising activities, office operations, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education
  • Minimum two (2) year diploma in Social Sciences or similar discipline
  • University degree in Social Sciences or a related discipline preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Experience
  • Minimum three (3) years relevant experience, including: research, analysis, and report and proposal writing; experience working with populations relevant to the area
