Proposals and Estimating Associate

Role Overview

As a Proposals and Estimating Associate (PEA), you will handle day-to-day client interactions, generate proposals and estimates, identify new leads, and collaborate closely with business development and technical teams to ensure client satisfaction and support company growth. Conference attendance is only required on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver proposals and cost estimates for geotechnical and exploration drilling projects, working closely with the sales team to ensure accuracy.
  • Track and report on sales activity, maintaining accurate records of interactions, leads, and opportunities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for daily client communications, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and fostering strong relationships.
  • Proactively reach out to potential clients via cold calls and other lead generation strategies to build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Ensure prerequisites (MSAs, ISNs, vendor lists, etc.) are completed in a timely manner.
  • Complete all administrative requirements on time and submit appropriate documentation to the relevant department.
  • Conduct timely follow-ups with clients to close sales, confirm project details, and maintain ongoing relationships.
  • Assist the internal team with the smooth transition of client accounts from sales to execution.
  • Operate with integrity and social responsibility, complying with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Track and analyze customer satisfaction metrics, including post project satisfaction.
  • Support the Sales & Business Development group as instructed by the Director.
Professional Experience & Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central Dynamics 365 is considered an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field is considered an asset.
  • Experience in the drilling industry is a strong asset.
  • Experience developing proposals, estimates, and work plans is an asset.
  • Experience in customer service or a related field is an asset.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Works well under pressure, performs well within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Confident and able to maintain professional dialogue in busy networking settings.
Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am‑5:00 pm, 30‑minute lunch. Schedule is flexible to accommodate personal and professional commitments.

  • $28.00 - $38.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
