Position: Natural Resource Specialist Field Role
BC Hydro seeks a Natural Resource Specialist in Prince George, British Columbia. This full-time position involves fieldwork and focuses on project assessment, environmental monitoring, and wildlife management.

As a Natural Resource Specialist 3, you will play a critical role in conducting impact assessments and preparing reports for BC Hydro projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Your responsibilities include developing project work plans, administering contracts, and liaising with First Nations and governmental agencies. This position requires expertise in biological sciences and significant experience in environmental consultation and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess project data and prepare impact assessment reports

• Develop work plans for mitigating environmental impacts

• Liaise with First Nations and various agencies

• Conduct technical studies and field programs

• Provide expert advice and direction to project teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field

• 5 years relevant work experience or equivalent

• Registered with a regulatory body under the BC Governance Act

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license

• Willingness to travel frequently for fieldwork
