Position: Field-Based Natural Resource Specialist
Join BC Hydro in Prince George, British Columbia as a Natural Resource Specialist, dedicated to fieldwork and environmental management. This full-time role emphasizes project assessment, ecological monitoring, and wildlife conservation.

In this position, you will be responsible for analyzing environmental impacts and developing mitigation strategies for BC Hydro's operations. You will craft detailed project plans, conduct studies, and collaborate with various stakeholders, including First Nations. Your leadership will guide teams to ensure comprehensive assessments are conducted and that environmental best practices are upheld during project implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze field data to assess environmental impact

• Prepare project plans and budgets for wildlife studies

• Monitor projects and ensure regulatory compliance

• Liaise with stakeholders for effective environmental management

• Provide technical direction to project teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific fields

• Minimum 5 years of environmental experience

• Eligibility for registration with a regulatory body

• Class 5 driver’s license is mandatory

• Capability to work in diverse and challenging environments
