Environmental Monitor Position

Position: Full-Time Environmental Monitor Position
Become an Environmental Monitor at Kemess Mine with Centerra Gold, focused on maintaining high environmental standards. This role is best suited for candidates with a background in environmental science and is exclusive to Tsay Keh Dene Nation and Kwadacha Nation.

As part of the environmental team, you will report to the Senior Environmental Coordinator, implementing various monitoring programs and ensuring all safety protocols are observed. You will manage data collection, oversee wildlife monitoring, and handle environmental samples efficiently. Your attention to detail and communication skills will aid in fostering a culture of sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement environmental monitoring strategies

• Accurately record and manage field data

• Ensure proper handling of water and air samples

• Conduct reconnaissance for potential environmental risks

• Monitor and maintain equipment in compliance with regulations

Requirements:

• Environmental monitoring certification preferred

• Degree in relevant fields like Environmental Technology

• Previous resource sector experience considered valuable

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools necessary

• Valid Canadian Driver’s License essential
