Duties and Responsibilities:
General clean up of shop, yard and machinesAssisting Journeyperson Mechanics as requiredAid Mechanics with the removal and installation of guards and steamingFueling machinesMinor service of machines (oil changes etc.)Attachment maintenanceGeneral service shop dutiesAdditional duties as assigned* Candidate selection will be in accordance with the current collective agreement*
Skills and
Qualifications:
Mechanically inclined, self-starter ability to follow directions, work well within a team environment and contribute positively to a team environmentExcellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work successfully under minimal supervisionPast experience in a maintenance shop environment, mechanical experience, and forklift certification would be considered assetsImportant Information:
This role is based in Prince George, Monday to FridayAll shift changes will be in accordance with the collective agreementUnion Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay.
