Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician or E&I Technician looking for a new challenge? This position will be responsible for safely operating compressor stations ensuring safety and reliability.

This is a maintenance and operations position based in CS05 (Quesnel, BC).

What you will do

• Complete the Operator Qualifications Training program for each station within your region as required.

• Operate and maintain all facility equipment at station(s) throughout the region as required.

• Complete all required safety, operations, and maintenance training.

• Create/review procedures.

• Must be willing to work away from home if required and able to work On Call and Overtime.

• Work with support groups (Planner/Finance/Pipeliners, etc).

• Be capable of working all applicable Unifor 4960 shifts.

Who you are

You have the following qualifications and skills:

Required:

• Millwright or Heavy-Duty Mechanic Journeyperson and/or Journeyperson Electrical or Instrumentation Technician

• Valid driver’s license

• 3-5 Years related work experience

• High School Diploma

Preferred:

• Dual ticketed Journeyperson Electrician, Instrument Mechanic and/or Millwright in addition would be considered an asset.

• Experience operating a compressor station

• Ability to multi-task and change duties quickly.

• Demonstrated self-starter.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Able to carry out daily duties with minimal supervision and support.

• Experience working in the oil & gas industry.

• Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate

• Experience working on Turbines
