TRADE JOURNEYMAN HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC / COMMERCIAL TRANSPORT MECHANIC

Location:

Quesnel, BC

Full‑time, year‑round position.

• You have a satisfactory driver’s abstract.
• You want to be home every night.
• You enjoy the challenge of working on heavy‑duty equipment.

Required Qualifications:

• Certified Trade Journeyman Heavy Duty or Commercial Transport Mechanic.
• Valid BC driver’s license (minimum Class 5; Class 1 or 3 with air preferred). Positive driving record.
• Physically fit and capable of performing job requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair an equipment fleet that includes trucks, trailers, graders, loaders, backhoes, mowers, brushers, sweepers, excavators, pavers, rollers, asphalt profilers, and winter‑maintenance attachments.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs.
• Work independently and as part of a team to ensure high equipment availability.

Compensation and Benefits:

Wages and benefits package as per the BCGEU Collective Agreement.
