Position: Toolroom Technician for Trades School

Join the School of Trades and Technologies as a Toolroom Technician, primarily focusing on inventory management and workplace safety inspections. Collaborate with instructors to ensure a conducive learning environment while managing tools and equipment effectively.

This position requires a proactive technician to support program areas through inspections, maintenance, and inventory control. With a Red Seal Certification and five years of hands-on experience, you will play a crucial role in facilitating student projects. Effective communication and safety compliance are key components of your contribution to student success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily shop and compound safety inspections

• Manage the inventory by receiving and sorting products

• Maintain and document shop equipment checks

• Support practical components with supplies and training aids

• Create work orders for equipment maintenance

Requirements:

• Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program

• Red Seal Certification in the applicable field

• Five years of maintenance and repair experience

• WHMIS trained and capable of First Aid

• Proficient with MS Office Suite
