As a Lead Technician, you’ll be responsible for supervising fiber optic and structured cabling installations, ensuring top-notch quality and compliance with industry standards. With over 5 years of experience in telecommunications, fiber optics, or electronics, you’ll mentor a team while managing critical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor technicians in fiber splicing and installation workflows
• Enforce cleaning and inspection standards for fiber connections
• Manage urgent fiber cleaning requests for network changes
• Plan infrastructure builds for high-density compute environments
• Maintain accurate documentation and cable management records
Requirements:
• Post secondary education in telecommunications or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on fiber installation experience
• Proficient with fusion splicers and fiber testing equipment
• Strong communication skills for team interactions
• Ability to troubleshoot physical layer issues
Lead and inspire a team while maintaining high-quality standards for fiber optic installations at Podtech Data Centers.
