Position: Professional Forester at BC Hydro

We are seeking a Registered Professional Forester to support vegetation management within BC Hydro's projects. This full-time role involves analyzing data and providing professional forestry services while ensuring regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates possess at least five years of experience in forest operations or eight years in related industrial forestry settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and evaluate forestry data for decision-making

• Develop cost estimates for vegetation management activities

• Implement forestry engineering and layout contracts

• Supervise access construction contracts and quality assurance checks

• Communicate with diverse stakeholders and manage contracts

Requirements:

• Registered Professional Forester in good standing

• Minimum five years of forestry operations experience

• Knowledge of environmental legislation and forest practices

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe

• Valid BC Driver’s License required
