Light Vehicle Technician at BW Gold

Location: Vanderhoof

Ensure top performance of light vehicles at BW Gold's Blackwater Mine. As an LV Technician, maintain and repair key equipment to support operations in a remote setting.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining light vehicles and auxiliary machinery. This position emphasizes safety leadership and effective maintenance practices in a mining environment. Ideal candidates possess a Red Seal Certification and a commitment to improving vehicle reliability and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce safety standards and procedures effectively

• Perform routine repairs on light trucks and UTVs

• Apply diagnostic techniques for mechanical and electrical issues

• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability

• Maintain a clean-shaven appearance for safety gear use

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Automotive Technician Red Seal Certification needed

• Valid driver’s license required

• Able to work on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation

• Comfortable in remote working conditions
