Heavy Duty Mechanic

Position: Heavy Duty Mechanic for CN
Join CN as a Heavy Duty Mechanic and work on diverse Maintenance of Way equipment. You'll enjoy onsite training and a competitive compensation package while working in various locations.

This role requires performing both major and minor repairs on equipment critical for freight distribution. You will travel extensively across British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, ensuring the highest repair standards. As part of a committed team, you'll apply your skills in a field environment with regular overtime requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections and repairs on heavy-duty equipment

• Diagnose diesel engine malfunctions and execute repairs

• Operate and maintain repair tools safely

• Prepare maintenance reports for compliance

• Utilize a truck for service operations

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Red Seal certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic

• Valid driver’s license for travel

• Basic knowledge of diesel mechanics

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
