Reporting to the Facility Director, your responsibilities include managing a skilled trades team engaged in diverse tasks such as carpentry and painting. You will ensure compliance with regulations, assist in hiring, and track maintenance operations to enhance facility performance. Your leadership plays a crucial role in maintaining the district's educational environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise trades staff and daily operational tasks
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with administration for facility concerns
• Assist in preparing bid documents for projects
• Oversee recruitment and staff performance evaluations
Requirements:
• Grade 12 High School Diploma required
• Valid BC or Interprovincial trade certification
• 5+ years supervisory experience in union environments
• Skills in MS Office and maintenance systems
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
