Bus Mechanic

Position: Full-Time Bus Mechanic Role at Keolis
Keolis Canada is hiring a Full-Time Bus Mechanic in Prince Rupert to oversee the safe operation of our transit fleet.

Your role will be vital in performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on our buses.

In this position, you will conduct preventative maintenance and complete inspections to ensure compliance with company and BC Transit standards. Candidates with Journeyperson Certification or those in their fourth year of Heavy Duty Mechanic apprenticeship are encouraged to apply. A minimum of three years' experience in mechanical work and familiarity with diagnostic tools is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and inspections on the transit bus fleet

• Diagnose issues using computer-based diagnostic tools

• Conduct safety inspections to meet regulatory standards

• Maintain an organized and safe work environment

• Support and mentor apprentices in maintenance practices

Requirements:

• Journeyperson or equivalent certification in mechanics

• Valid driver’s license and air brake endorsement

• 3+ years of mechanical experience required

• Knowledge of OH&S safety regulations

• Willingness to travel to support shop operations
