The CSD/IDG Technician is responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair, and overhaul, modifications and reassembly of CSD components. Technicians perform routine, non‑routine and preventative maintenance on all parts of the aircraft according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Silver Wings Aerospace guidelines.

• Perform work assignments as determined by the shop management.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved technical data, customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Use appropriate inspection techniques and calibrated equipment for the unit/part being accomplished.
• Utilize the proper test equipment or suitable alternative and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
• Record information and accomplish the work assignment in compliance with the Inspection Procedures Manual and Quality Policies and Procedures.
• Assist the Department Manager and Engineers with new capability development of repairs received.
• Maintain open two‑way communication with Manager and teammates, appropriately sharing both good and bad news.
• Provide timely quotes of units.
• Maintain personal and shop calibrated tools in satisfactory operational condition.
• Comply with all safety directives and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Assist in cross‑training technicians.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Provide own tools and be capable of using standard tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets, sockets, torque drivers, multimeters, soldering irons, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, flow meters, psi gauges, temperature measurement tools, safety wire pliers, and other required maintenance tools.
• Experience in aircraft manufacturing, installation, and repair/overhaul of aircraft components.
• Familiar with aircraft specifications applied to final and in‑process inspections.
• Working knowledge of Federal Aircraft Regulations (FAR).
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, Standard Repair Manuals (SRM), and component maintenance manuals (CMM).
• Work overtime as required by production requirements.

• Read and write the English language.
• 2 years minimum experience in the aerospace industry with mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to troubleshoot most if not all problems in our processes and equipment.
• Flexibility to work beyond 40 hours per week as required.
• Strong familiarity with MRO production processes.
