ICAHN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting 57 critical access and rural hospitals across Illinois. Our Survey Solutions program administers HCAHPS, OAS CAHPS, and other CMS-approved patient experience surveys on behalf of member hospitals.
Position SummaryThe Manager of Survey Solutions leads the day-to-day operations of ICAHN's Survey Solutions program — including CMS compliance, data integrity, client relationships, and program growth. This role requires specialized knowledge of CMS CAHPS survey requirements and a commitment to high-quality service for rural healthcare clients.
Key Responsibilities- Program Operations: Manage day-to-day operations of the Survey Solutions program, including survey administration, data collection, reporting, and performance monitoring
- CMS Compliance: Maintain current knowledge of CMS CAHPS Quality Assurance Guidelines and lead preparation for audits, reviews, and regulatory oversight activities
- Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain quality control procedures; perform routine audits of survey data, XML files, and submission records to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Data Submission: Prepare, validate, and submit XML data files through the CMS HQR system; monitor submission reports and resolve issues
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary contact for participating hospitals on survey administration, reporting, and compliance; provide onboarding, training, and ongoing support
- Vendor Management: Serve as the primary liaison with survey technology vendors; coordinate system updates, testing, and issue resolution
- Business Development: Facilitate client contracting and assist with marketing and recruitment to support program growth
- Financial Support: Assist the Director of Finance with budget development, revenue monitoring, and operational planning
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Information Management, or related field
- 3–5 years in healthcare operations, quality management, regulatory compliance, or survey administration
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
- Direct experience with CMS-approved CAHPS survey administration and HQR XML submissions
- PMP, CPHQ, Lean/Six Sigma, or similar certification
$65,000 - $85,000 annually
