Senior Mechanical Engineer

Allegion is looking for a passionate Senior Mechanical Engineer to work as part of a highly engaged small team within a global organization focused on safety, security and access management. You’ll work on solutions that enable seamless access and keep people safe.

• Develop and design products that improve building security and seamless access.
• Improve product designs to meet reliability, quality and cost targets.
• Execute projects in a team environment to bring products to market.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors and other functions to create and justify business cases.
• Support cross‑functional engineering, manufacturing, and product test teams by understanding and solving problems.

• Engineering degree required.
• At least 5 years of experience in design development.
• Proficiency with engineering tools including FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, GD&T, Tolerance Stack Analysis & DFM/DFA.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as stamping, forging, casting, powder metal, machining, injection molding.
• Understanding of high‑tolerance, high‑volume machining and assembly processes.
• Proficiency in CAD modeling;
  Creo preferred.
• Passion to be at the intersection of mechanical, electronics, and new technologies.
