Responsibilities
- CNC Operations:
- Set up and operate basic CNC functions following detailed instructions and established procedures on CNC equipment to cut, punch, form, drill, pulse, spin, mill and stamp, to produce metal parts and components per design and drawing specifications required for subassemblies or finished products.
- Perform repetitive tasks such as loading/unloading parts on machines, attaching components, and operating hand tools.
- Conduct basic equipment checks to ensure tools and machines are operational.
- Follow step‑by‑step written or verbal instructions for machine setup and operation.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Quality Assurance:
- Perform routine quality inspections using basic measurement tools (e.g., rulers, tape measures).
- Identify and segregate defective parts for supervisor review.
- Maintain accurate records of production counts and defect reports.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform basic equipment checks (e.g., ensuring tools are operational).
- Maintain awareness and report potential safety hazards to leaders.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to address challenges and improve processes.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to report issues and provide updates.
- Workspace Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Store tools and equipment properly.
- Flexibility and Adaptability:
- Work overtime as needed to meet production goals.
- Crosstrain and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Entry‑level – no experience required.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with machining techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Essential
Skills:- Communication – verbal and written.
- Machining techniques – ability to use machining equipment, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and testing equipment effectively.
- Quality control – produce parts meeting quality standards.
- Problem‑solving – identify issues and communicate to leader.
- Safety awareness – follow safety protocols and maintain hazard awareness.
- Teamwork – collaborate effectively with all employees.
- Adaptability – flexible in role, adapt to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.
Entry‑level – no experience required.
Physical Demands- Manual dexterity – handle parts and tools with precision.
- Repetitive motion – bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping.
- Standing – up to 10 hours per shift.
- Lifting – up to 35 lbs.
- Environmental exposure – noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving parts, temperature extremes.
The expected base hourly range is $17.50–$31.30. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
