Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Pay or shift range: $23 USD to $26 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician II is responsible for advanced maintenance and repair to the Distribution Centers.

- Perform troubleshooting on equipment/machinery as issues arise in the Distribution Center and make necessary repairs based on conclusions.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical material handling equipment, including transportation conveyors, sortation systems, and forklifts.
- Perform emergency mechanical repairs to failed material handling systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical control systems inclusive of motors, and their associated controls to the PLC input/output.
- Perform maintenance projects on conveyor systems to include installation, removal, and process improvement changes.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Identify and locate required repair parts for failed systems.
- Maintain accurate record keeping such as: work orders, time sheets, and parts requests.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
- Additional education including vocational training preferred, but not required.
- Must be able to operate all equipment necessary to perform the role. This includes but is not limited to pallet jacks, various styles of forklifts, and other Material Handling Equipment as needed.
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated to seek work.
- Ability and willingness to follow material handling equipment safe operating procedures.
- Ability to complete assignments in time allotted.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (until work is done)
- Ability to work regularly at a maximum height of four flights of stairs.
- Ability to operate a cherry picker and/or scissor lift, and work at a maximum height of 36 feet while being tethered to a safety harness.
- 5 + years of progressive mechanical aptitude experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment and the ability to work independently and safely, with limited supervision.
- Electrical skills, working with 120
VAC - 480V and 24
VDC is required. - Mechanical skills and fabricating skills are required.
- Working knowledge and troubleshooting of electrical motor control systems, PLC controls systems and VFD drives.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics is required.
- Experienced and proficient utilizing machines/equipment as follows: hand tools, measuring tools, drills, grinders, saws, multimeter, tachometer, welder, etc.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to bend and twist frequently.
- Must have ability to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

Actual associate pay will be based on work location, position, experience, skill level, qualifications, and other relevant factors. Associate will not be compensated below the minimum wage for the specific location where the individual has applied in accordance with city, county, and state requirements.
