Duties and Responsibilities
  • Material Movement
    • Receive, stage, issue, and deliver materials within the facility to support production schedules and customer orders
    • Follow detailed instruction and established procedures
    • Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and ensure equipment is in good working order
    • Load and unload material from trucks and containers
    • Perform cycle counts, assist with physical inventories, and reconcile discrepancies
    • Enter inventory transactions accurately into ERP/MRP systems or via scanning devices
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles
    • Report inventory discrepancies to supervisors
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Quality Assurance
    • Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues
    • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory and material movement documentation
    • Participate in root cause analysis for material discrepancies
  • Safety Compliance
    • Adhere to safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper lifting technique
    • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas where material is stored and moved on the production floor
    • Maintain awareness and report potential safety hazards to leaders
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to address challenges and improve processes
    • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to report issues and provide updates
  • Workspace Maintenance
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
    • Store tools and equipment properly
  • Flexibility and Adaptability
    • Work overtime as needed to meet production goals
    • Cross‑train in other areas and adapt to new processes or technologies
Minimum Requirements
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience:

    6 months to 1 year of material handling and inventory experience
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Familiarity with material handling and inventory control, basic computer literacy
  • Essential Skills
    • Communication:
      Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Material Movement:
      Ability to use proper lifting techniques and material movement equipment effectively
    • Quality Control:
      Ability to review material to ensure it meets quality standards
    • Problem‑Solving:
      Ability to identify issues and communicate them to leadership
    • Safety Awareness:
      Following safety protocols and maintaining hazard awareness
    • Teamwork:
      Collaborate effectively with all employees
    • Adaptability:
      Ability to be flexible in role and adjust to new processes, technologies, or production requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of material movement and inventory experience
  • Forklift operations experience
Physical Demands
  • Manual Dexterity:
    Handle material and parts
  • Repetitive Motion:
    Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands
  • Standing Duration:
    Stand for up to 10 hours per shift
  • Lifting Requirements:
    Lift up to 35 lbs
  • Environmental Exposure:
    Work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes
Compensation

Hourly rate: $18.50‑$28.85 (based on experience and other factors). Bonus eligibility:
Yes. Total compensation will be determined in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
