The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing ICAHN’s comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to strengthen organizational visibility, support member engagement, and advance ICAHN’s mission across rural healthcare. This role ensures that ICAHN’s brand, messaging, and visual identity remain consistent, professional, and aligned with strategic goals. The Marketing Manager leads corporate communications, guides internal and external messaging, supports the promotion of member and partner programs, and collaborates across ICAHN teams to enhance the impact of organizational initiatives.

The position also serves as a resource to member hospitals, providing guidance on marketing and communications best practices, and facilitates the marketing and foundation peer group and list serv.

Responsibilities 1.) Marketing & Communications
  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of ICAHN’s comprehensive marketing and communications strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain and advance ICAHN’s brand identity, ensuring consistent style, messaging, and visual standards across all platforms, materials, and events.
  • Oversee planning, writing, editing, design, and distribution of newsletters, press releases, digital publications, promotional campaigns, and other corporate communications.
  • Partner with the Social Media Communications Coordinator to manage content strategy and updates for the ICAHN website and social media sites, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Support ICAHN leadership, management staff, and committees with communication needs, including message development, presentation materials, event promotion, and member updates.
  • Provide consultation and support to member hospitals related to marketing, communications, branding, and reputation management.
  • Serve as the primary facilitator for the marketing/foundation peer group and list serv, ensuring timely communication, resource sharing, and engagement.
2.) Strategic, Programmatic & Financial Management
  • Develop, manage, and monitor the annual marketing budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with ICAHN priorities.
  • Contribute to the messaging of ICAHN’s strategic planning by supporting initiatives that strengthen ICAHN’s visibility, member engagement, and value.
  • Develop and administer communication and marketing policies, guidelines, and workflows to promote consistency, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as an internal strategic partner—identifying communication needs, proposing solutions, and supporting ICAHN program leaders with marketing strategy, campaign planning, and message development.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director – Business Services & Development to support administration and promotion of ICAHN’s business sponsorship and partner program, including sponsorship material development, visibility efforts, and partner communications.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in marketing or communications, ideally within healthcare, non-profit, association, or mission-driven environments.
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing multi-platform marketing and communication strategies.
  • Experience overseeing production of print and digital publications, including content creation, editing, layout, and distribution.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting brand management, corporate communications, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with design software, content management systems (CMS), and digital communication tools.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally; valid driver’s license required.
Preferred
  • Experience in healthcare communications or familiarity with rural health issues.
  • Experience with video editing or advanced graphic design.
  • Knowledge of industry terminology and healthcare association environments.
  • Experience supporting sponsorship or partner program marketing.
  • Experience working in a critical access hospital, rural health environment, or healthcare association.
  • Experience facilitating work groups or professional peer networks.
