Role Overview
Are you an experienced sales professional that enjoys managing a territory and developing relationships? Are you looking to join a growing organization? Timpte is looking for an Aftermarket Territory Sales Representative to join our team. You will be responsible for parts sales for our entire aftermarket product line by growing market penetration through dealer and retail sales channels.
This role requires travel of up to 75% of the time with occasional overnight stays. The ideal candidate thrives in a travel-based, customer-facing sales environment.
Base Location- Lincoln, Nebraska
- Princeton, Illinois
- Bloomington, Illinois
- Whitestown, Indiana
- Sidney, Ohio
Bases on experience: $90k–125k+ per year, plus commission.
Primary Responsibilities- Facilitate and manage sales for aftermarket growth
- Introduce new products & programs to new and existing customers
- Develop distribution channels – dealer & retail
- Build a database of customers through referrals, phone conversations, direct face‑to‑face cold calling, direct mail, and email
- Support the launch and continued development of e‑commerce
- Attend trade shows and other events to market products
- Prospect new channels, dealers, and e‑commerce opportunities daily
- Assist in answering and addressing incoming calls and walk‑in customers pertaining to sales
- Research and communicate new markets and product opportunities within the assigned territory
- Maximize all opportunities in the process of closing a sale to capture market share from competitors
- Submit ongoing marketing proposals throughout the year, tracking toward seasonality of the business
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow‑up activities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management or required by the position
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field plus 3‑5 years of sales experience
- Preferred sales experience in automotive and commercial vehicle aftermarket
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Motivated with a proven ability to achieve sales goals
- Willingness to travel up to 75% with overnight stays included
- Valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation
