Position Overview
Manage general contractor and subcontractor field construction activities for specific facilities projects in support of plant construction completion. Responsible for contract administration, on‑site inspections, schedule coordination, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage compliance to construction safety requirements and maintain incident‑free projects.
- Prepare daily field status reports and review contractor change orders.
- Coordinate between owner, contractor, and A/E firm.
- Support review of requests for information, submittals, shop drawings, and construction documents.
- Lead weekly general contractor meetings, record minutes, and track action items.
- Coordinate close‑out tasks including as‑built, O&M manuals, training, commissioning, kick‑off, punch‑list completion, and acceptance testing.
- Conduct on‑site inspections and monitor plan compliance.
- Implement countermeasures to support project schedule.
- 5+ years of project management experience with construction and/or A/E firm.
- Knowledge of automotive plant or assembly plant construction (nice to have).
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Experience with cost estimating/scheduling (not mandatory).
- Good command of Microsoft Project, Primavera 6, Autodesk, AutoCAD.
Intermediate
Education- Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management degree.
- Or skilled trades with supervisory experience.
- Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Microsoft Project, Primavera, Autodesk Build / Building Connected, AutoCAD
Contract position based in Princeton, IN. Fully onsite.
Pay$35.00 - $50.00/hr
