Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate high school guidance counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and support to students, addressing their academic, career, and personal development needs. This role involves fostering a positive and inclusive environment to ensure students' success in their educational journey.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' academic and personal concerns
  • Assist students in developing academic and career goals, providing resources and guidance
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students' overall well-being and academic success
  • Administer and interpret assessments to assist students in understanding their strengths and interests
  • Develop and implement programs promoting mental health awareness and emotional well-being
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and counseling sessions
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in School Counseling or related field
  • State certification/license in school counseling
  • Previous experience in counseling or related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Empathy and understanding of adolescent development

The employee must be able to push items of 50 pounds or more, such as pushing materials on a cart.
