Hours: 7:30 a.m.
-3:00 p.m. M-Th (30-35 hours per week) with flexible Friday hours for classroom planning and prep as well as evening hours with preschool activities
The Pre-school/Pre-K Lead teacher shall work with the Hillside Preschool Director and/or HUMC Lead Pastor in the implementation of the mission of the HUMC Preschool. He/she will work directly with the teaching of children to ensure a Christian environment that encourages age-appropriate development and safety. He/she will also foster positive relationships with the students and their parents.
The successful candidate will possess an AS, BA, or BS In education, elementary or early childhood development, or a college degree in early childhood curriculum classes, or a current Child Development Certification by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, as well as current CPR and First Aid certification (CPR/FA training provided). Prior professional work experience in an elementary or early childhood classroom is preferred.
He/she will relate to and communicate with children and their parents in an appropriate manner. Must have valid driver’s license and pass a background check.
