Job Summary

Job Description

The Tool Shop Draftsman is responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans for and manufacturing projects using computer-aided design software. They work closely with engineers, architects, and designers to ensure that their plans are accurate and comply with industry standards and regulations.

Job Duties
  • Create and modify technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics using computer-aided design software
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure that designs meet project specifications and requirements
  • Review and analyze project documentation to determine accurate and precise drawings and plans
  • Revise and update drawings as necessary based on project changes or modifications
  • Create and maintain project files and documentation related to technical drawings and plans
  • Communicate with project stakeholders to ensure that all parties are aware of project progress and any issues that arise
  • Ensure that all technical drawings and plans comply with industry standards and regulations
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience in a drafting or technical drawing role
  • Proficient in computer-aided design software, such as AutoCAD or Solid Works
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately create technical drawings and plans
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a team of engineers and designers
  • Ability to analyze project documentation to determine accurate and precise drawings and plans
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to technical drawings and plans
