Position: Sr. Payroll Specialist - Automotive Parts Manufacturer (36000)

An automotive parts manufacturer company located near Princeton, Indiana is seeking Sr. Payroll Specialist
. The ideal candidate has strong experience with payroll processing and associated state and federal compliance requirements, as well as familiarity with related HR administrative tasks.

This is a full-time, direct hire position. Must be able to work on-site.

Sr. Payroll Specialist Responsibilities
  • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring all wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and company policies are followed. This is a lead position for several company locations.
  • Verify and audit employee data, including time and attendance records, bonuses, deductions, and other relevant information into the payroll system.
  • Process payroll adjustments and corrections as necessary.
  • Audit and reconcile payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist with new hire orientation for payroll processors and provide training.
  • Act as the first point of contact for FMLA third-party administrators.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in payroll.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Sr. Payroll Specialist Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, HR, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as required to provide training and support to other locations.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and attendance management systems.
  • Knowledge of accounting and payroll practices.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
