Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s NA Paint Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Paint Seibi Technician.

The primary responsibility of this role is to program paint and plastic robots to meet Toyota and Lexus quality standards.

Reporting to the Paint Production Engineering Seibi Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint department’s objective to create the highest quality at the lowest cost.

What you’ll be doing
  • Offline simulations / online programming (Carrot 3 and Catia)
  • Quality adjust for topcoat, underbody and plastics shop
  • Equipment confirmations
  • Create schedules
  • Manage schedules
  • Create status reports
  • Communicate with PE specialist and other Paint Seibi techs
  • Communicate with paint pilot members
  • Program topcoat robots
  • Program UBC robots
  • Program plastics robots
  • Run quality trials through above process
  • Troubleshoot paint process including robot programs
  • Resolve conflict in job scope and design
What you bring
  • 1+ years’ experience with high and low visc processes
  • Digital engineering experience
  • Kawasaki robot programming experience
  • Fanuc robot programming experience
  • Quality instruments experience
  • Knowledge of Toyota quality standards
  • Able to use Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Able to communicate across multiple platforms
  • 2‑ or 4‑year technical degree
  • PLC logic and troubleshooting
