CNC Programmer

$30.00 to $36.00 per hour

Highway Machine Co. is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join our Princeton, Indiana manufacturing team. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment used to manufacture large, precision gears and components.

You’ll work with experienced machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to produce complex components used across a variety of industries. This is an opportunity to work with large-scale precision machining rather than repetitive high-volume production.

What you’ll do:
  • Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs
  • Set up and operate CNC machinery
  • Read blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Select tooling and determine appropriate speeds and feeds
  • Inspect parts and troubleshoot machining issues
  • Work with Engineering and Quality to resolve production issues
  • Help improve machining processes and efficiency
What we’re looking for:
  • CNC programming and machining experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to producing quality work
Preferred, but not required:
  • CAD/CAM experience
  • CMM experience
  • Experience machining large or complex components
  • Experience in a precision manufacturing environment
Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moderate to high noise levels, temperature fluctuations, and airborne particles.
