The Lab Team Leader is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of quality inspectors in all quality areas and other related duties concerning the quality of company goods.
Duties & Responsibilities- Recognize, troubleshoot, and resolve non-compliant products or situations with interaction of production employees and
- Responsible for complete and accurate daily documentation of all QA concerns which arise on the production floor.
- Records, evaluates, and reports quality and reliability data.
- Follows all Standardized Work Instructions for the Quality Inspection Department
- Support testing for new products/process development and in-process testing
- Inspect, test and measure products, components and materials using analytical equipment and gauges
- Support conformance to the Supplier Quality Assurance process
- Review quality procedures, documents and records for completeness and accuracy
- Assure quality system compliance
- Develop procedures, work instructions, forms and other quality documents as needed
- Develop standardized methods for inspection and testing
- Assist in the maintenance and improvement of the quality system
- Develop and implement methods to control nonconforming product
- Perform system, process and product audits
- Provide training on quality procedures and techniques
- Raises any concerns on new quality concerns or defects to the responsible Quality Technician and ensures that chain of control procedure is followed for evaluation of defects
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience
- Leadership experience required
- Experience with corrective action/root cause analysis, supplier quality experience and good Manufacturing Practices
- Ability to plan, organize, communicate, and motivate employees
- Must have the ability to multitask and work in a fast-pace environment and be able to effectively prioritize tasks
- Must have strong Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to gain a general knowledge of customer specific requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
