This individual will support Diversity-Vuteq Indiana on-site with all aspects of general maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs to plant facilities and equipment
- Performs clean up involving dust, dirt, grease, and oil around machines
- Assist with plant startups and equipment preparation for production
- Installation of piping, tubing and fittings for compressed air and water
- Assist trade persons with equipment relocations and installations
- Perform seasonal duties outside of buildings such as snow removal around doorways
- Complete PM work orders of equipment to manufacturer's recommendations or PM guide and provide feedback on activities and changes to improve the service or equipment
- Inspect and monitor cooling tower systems and advise if action required
- Fabrication of mold, nesting, and minor fixtures
- Fabrication of frames stands and work tables using Mig/Tig, Arc welding
- Assist to troubleshoot pneumatic systems including valves, regulators, filters and actuators
- Assist to troubleshoot hydraulic systems including valves, pumps, filter/strainers, flow control
- Understands and practices safe working procedures
- Uses personal protective equipment with lockout/isolation procedures as required
- Understands the specific environmental aspects and impact of maintenance duties and work toward reducing them
- Use of hands and power tools to expedite repairs, installation, and maintenance of plant equipment
- Use of shop power machinery, lathes, milling machines, saws, drills and grinders
- Perform other maintenance related duties as assigned to meet departmental responsibilities
Experience
- 1+ years' experience with facility maintenance; includes Electrical and Mechanical
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, electrical, and robotics
- Welding experience (Tig/Mig), pill press
- PLC knowledge preferred
- Ability to manage time efficiently; repair in a timely fashion to minimize downtime
- Must be mechanically inclined; able to troubleshoot problems, based on training and previous experience
- Prioritization skills; ability to adapt to changing demands from leadership teams
- Ability to show versatility and resourcefulness when problem solving
- Ability to select and identify correct fasteners to install various materials and plant equipment
- Solid interpersonal skills; able to communicate issues to maintenance team, process technicians, production, and to senior leadership teams
- High attention to detail and accuracy; ensuring the job is done right the first time to minimize downtime
- Ability organize tasks and demands efficiently
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license
