Job Description SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, this position is responsible for shipment and receipt of goods for the plant. Shipper responsibilities include staging outbound materials and loading outbound trucks. Receiver duties include receiving all incoming materials and inbound shipments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- Receiving
- Unload incoming freight - Receiving
- Ensure accuracy on purchase orders vs packing slips - Receiving
- Verify materials are damage free and in acceptable condition - Receiving
- Update computer system (JDE) - Receiving
- Store or deliver materials to proper departments - Receiving
- Assist in maintaining inventory control - Shipping
- Accurately set up outbound materials based on pick slips - Shipping
- Ensure product integrity is maintained at a high level - Shipping
- Load outbound trucks upon arrival - Assist in maintaining inventory control
- Follow all safety policies regarding the use of power industrial trucks, handling heavy equipment or material, and general warehouse safety guidelines
- Follow applicable Food Safety and cGMP polices
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS- High School diploma or GED is required
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Computer skills required
- Powered industrial truck experience preferred
- Communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong problem solving skills and interpersonal communication skills required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
