Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics will be part of a high performing team that provides actionable, innovative solutions to address key business questions & opportunities. The position will report into the Director of Commercial Analytics and support OAPI’s CNS pipeline assets. The senior manager will work independently with limited supervision and across a complex matrix environment that includes marketing, sales, sales operations, senior leadership, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Act as a proactive, consultative business partner with key brand stakeholders to inform business decisions through robust analyses and actionable insights.
- Leverage data from large syndicated pharmaceutical data sets such as IQVIA and internal sources to provide a comprehensive view of brand performance and market context, noting strengths and limitations.
- Think critically and strategically to solve complex business questions using internal and external data sources (pharmaceutical, patient, consumer, etc.).
- Partner with brand/marketing teams to identify business opportunities and communicate insights through secondary data mining.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners across the alliance to integrate analytics insights with other research sources (e.g., market research).
- Work with sales operations and forecasting teams to communicate brand strategy and insights to enhance processes and deliverables.
- Support product and market opportunity assessments, situational analyses, trend identification, market sizing, and competitive landscape research.
- Develop and operationalize ongoing reporting needs, including metrics and key performance indicators to track brand strategy, tactics, or market performance.
- Manage third‑party vendors and consultants.
- Increase and enhance the use of advanced modeling and analytic methods to produce more robust insights into underlying brand/market dynamics.
- Prioritize projects and manage time in a fast‑paced, quickly evolving landscape.
- Manage the brand analytics budget for assigned brands within the portfolio.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate analytical findings into meaningful insights.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, cross‑functional projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Deep understanding of syndicated pharmaceutical datasets from IQVIA, Symphony, Market Access Data (patient longitudinal data, claims data, distribution, sales, demand, promotion, formulary).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with statistical tools such as R and SAS.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Micro Strategy.
- Experience processing, analyzing, and synthesizing multiple data sources including syndicated and specialty pharmacy data.
- Open to adapting to new roles within the organization.
- 5+ years of experience in pharma, analytics, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field;
Master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Accounting, Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline is highly desired.
Base salary range: $150,034 – $224,250, plus incentive opportunity. Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and internal comparisons.
