Brief Description

As a Machining Process Technician, you will enjoy the challenge of using your skills and experience to be a liaison between machining production and machining manufacturing engineers. In addition, you’ll be supporting and improving existing processes and assist development of new processes through document control, hands‑on testing and production team coaching/training.

Job Type: First Shift, Full‑Time located in Princeton KY

Wage: Hourly rate commensurate with experience

The Machining Process Technician is responsible for assisting the manufacturing engineering team with support of existing high volume machining processes, while also being an integral part of improving those processes.

Core Responsibilities Of Our Machining Process Technician
  • Safely providing technical support through observation, interaction, and participation of machining production
  • Using observations of machining production, report opportunities for improvement to Manufacturing Engineers and enter deficiency data into defect database
  • Developing and producing process documentation and communicating accordingly
  • Providing support in troubleshooting NCMRs, customer issues and team projects
  • Participating in disposition of materials in HOLD area
  • Supporting and contributing to data collection of tool testing, PPAP, and PFMEA
  • Participate in and support training programs via documentation and live training
Requirements
  • Associate’s degree with 2 years’ experience or a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing production environment or related experience is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Basic knowledge of CNC and PLC programming (preferred)
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret operating instruction and procedure manuals, Gauge Sheets / CMM reports and technical manuals
  • Basic computer skills to provide and communicate routine reports and correspondence
