Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Sit‑down Forklift Operator in Princeton, Kentucky. The position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a rewarding career path.

• Hourly Pay $18.00 per hour
• Shift premium $1.00 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  D Shift – Wednesday 12:00 am to 6:00 am;
  Thursday – Saturday 6:00 pm to 6:00 am

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year or more experience in a warehouse and/or with powered industrial trucks preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to maintain professional relationships across all levels of the organization
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Punctual with a good attendance record
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• High initiative
• High accuracy under pressure
• Ability to lift or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or background or badge screening required by the customer.

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Execute duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and truck loading/unloading
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Perform additional duties as assigned
