About This Position

Provides advanced life support care to the sick and injured and safely transports patients of all ages to a medical facility. The paramedic assists with other services and events as directed by North Memorial Ambulance Service.

Education

• Successfully completed paramedic training program from an accredited institution required.
• Associate of Science degree preferred.

Experience

• Previous ambulance experience preferred.
• Previous advanced life support experience preferred.
• For Air Care Paramedics, three (3) years of ALS experience as a Paramedic required.
• For Air Care Paramedics, prior flight experience preferred.

Knowledge,

Skills And Abilities

• Demonstrated ability to organize, problem solve, make decisions during emergency situations and work independently.
• Possess or quickly acquire knowledge of the street and highway system within the service area.

Licensure/Certification

Ground Paramedic Requirements

• Current Minnesota or Wisconsin Paramedic Certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire date.

State Requirement

• American Heart Association ACLS and BLS Certification or American Red Cross ALS and BLS Certification upon hire or within 14 days.

NMHC Standard

• Valid State Class D driver's license in the state of residency with an acceptable driving record.

State Requirement

• American Heart Association or American Red Cross PALS Certification.

NMHC Preferred

• ICS-100, ICS-200 and ICS-700 or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire date.

Salary Range:
Medical Transportation Paramedic Metro ($32.96 - $48.93), based on experience

Shift Differential:
May include shift differential pay depending on position and shift.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
