Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (Actual base pay may vary depending on factors such as location, education, skills, experience).
Key Responsibilities- Advanced understanding of welding necessary to produce metal components
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/Tag out
- Ability to weld two or more different types (Mig, Tig, etc.)
- Set up components for welding according to specifications
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws with Quality team
- Ability to adjust welding machine
- Understand and accurately report daily production quantities to meet set number of parts per hour
- Consistent and accurate counts of materials and products
- Ability to do daily maintenance on welding machine
- Performs necessary quality checks on product and completes daily communication
- Ability to setup workstations according to safety standards to perform maximum efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to established procedures
- Maintain a positive attitude with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
- Ability to complete the first part approval process for complex jobs
- May tack weldments or components for robotic welding
- May touch up points in the robotic weld cell
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2 years welding experience required
- Ability to safely perform work in varying work conditions
- Flat Weld Certification (1G – 6G) preferred – AWS D1.1 and stainless
- Working knowledge of welding with previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Effective problem-solving skills/detailed oriented/sense of urgency
- Ability to read blueprints and use measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, and fillet gauges
- Ability to be forklift certified
- Ability to follow hoist safety protocols
- Self-motivated, takes initiative
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
- Excellent hand/eye coordination
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools
- Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- Consistently wear personal protective equipment
- Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels
