Schedule and Pay:
1st Shift: Monday through Thursday 5:00 AM - 3:15 PM;
Friday & Saturday OT hours vary
Salary Grade G
$26.25 - 32.50
Job Summary:
The Master Cabinet Builder is responsible for fabricating parts for custom cabinets in preparation for assembly from a cut list, job order and/or detailed drawing.
Job Duties:
- Performs all functions of the Custom Fabricator I.
- Fabricates parts needed for custom cabinets i.e. sides, tops, etc.
- Operates power tools for fabrication i.e., chop saw, table saw, shaper, router, mitre saw, etc.
- Operates hand tools for fabrication i.e., orbital sander, staple, router.
- Identifies damaged and missing parts as well as repairs, remakes or orders remakes.
- Reorders stock components as needed.
- Organizes work to insure product is in appropriate locations to meet the demands of daily product construction issues.
- Demonstrates self-motivation in the timely completion of daily/weekly assignments.
- Ensures products produced meet acceptable quality standards.
- Follows safety procedures and maintains work area as well as equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the various wood species and can differentiate between them.
- Makes fundamental mathematical calculations as well as reads measurement devices, i.e. tape measure, etc.
- Fills in other areas as needed.
