Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Salary: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour.

Location:

Princeton, MN – Minnesota Industrial Coatings.

The mission of the Shipping & Receiving Clerk is to package, ship, receive, and perform other warehouse and shipping duties while following established procedures.

• Receive and process material orders daily, including accepting and labeling deliveries and distributing packages and letters internally.
• Prepare shipping documents and schedule freight pickups as required.
• Prepare products, spare parts, return parts, or other items for shipment.
• Inspect freight upon arrival and document signs of damage.
• Verify receipts of purchased goods from suppliers, locate product, process paperwork, and complete all necessary transactions.
• Maintain shipping supply inventory.
• Operate forklift and other material handling equipment to move material to and from shipping or receiving platform to storage area or work area.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Assist Production Team Leader with other tasks as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• 2-4 years of Shipping and Receiving experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience.

• Strong computer skills – Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working with ERP system (Job Boss a plus).
• Organized and proficient in database management and recordkeeping.
• Basic knowledge of shipment setup via UPS, FEDEX, and freight trucking.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis.
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours.
• Excellent hand/eye coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools.
• Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
• Consistently wear personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels.
