Position OverviewThe Senior Accountant – Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAS) plays a key role in delivering high-quality outsourced accounting and advisory support to a portfolio of clients, with a primary focus on healthcare organizations. This role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping and compliance. You will partner closely with clients and internal teams to provide accurate financial reporting, operational insights, and scalable accounting solutions using modern, cloud-based technology.
Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of CAS clients, primarily in the healthcare industry
- Perform and oversee month-end and year-end close processes on an accrual basis
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition, expense accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Identify and resolve accounting issues, variances, and inconsistencies
- Serve as a trusted accounting contact for clients, providing clear and actionable financial explanations
- Assist in analyzing financial results and trends to support client decision-making
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
- Collaborate with CAS managers and partners to deliver proactive advisory solutions
- Help clients improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial visibility
- Utilize Quick Books Online (QBO) as the primary general ledger platform
- Manage accounts payable workflows using
- Assist with onboarding new CAS clients, including system setup and workflow design
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
- Support firm initiatives related to cloud accounting, analytics, and workflow standardization
- Health care accounting knowledge, including revenue cycle and third-party payor considerations
- Apply understanding of operational measures such as provider productivity
- Coordinate with tax and assurance teams as needed
- Collaborate with CAS managers, partners, and team members
- Contribute to CAS best practices and standard operating procedures
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in Client Accounting Services department.
- Strong accrual accounting and month-end close experience
- Hands‑on experience with Quick Books Online
- Experience with or similar AP automation tools
- Health care industry accounting experience
- Strong GAAP knowledge
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Active CPA license or CPA‑eligible
- Experience supporting multiple clients in a CAS environment
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and advisory engagements
- Experience with workflow tools such as Karbon or similar platforms
- Experience with additional cloud accounting, reporting, or automation tools
- M&A and Private Equity experience in the health care space
