As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team at our Princeton, NJ headquarters.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our accounting department. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to grow in a dynamic, hands-on environment. The Junior Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and support of key business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with recording and reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Help prepare monthly journal entries and support the monthly close process.
- Maintain and organize accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and internal summaries.
- Assist with payroll processing and benefits reconciliation.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Assist in the preparation for year-end audits and tax filings.
- Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and reporting needs.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the Controller or senior staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or in progress if close to completion).
- 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships or co-op experience a plus).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with accounting software (Quickbooks) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
