Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant at Evotec to join our finance team.

• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure that reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner.
• Identify ways to streamline and improve upon the reconciliation process.
• Process and control fixed assets and capital improvements.
• Purchase through activation and conduct all month end analysis and bank/cash reconciliations.
• Support the month‑end closing process, including accruals, journal entries, and prepaid expense entries.
• Gather and analyze information from the general ledger system.
• Handle monthly financial enrichments and account GL movements (One Stream - Consolidation).
• Work with A/P staff on full cycle processing (monthly logistics and weekly expense management entries).
• Process intercompany transactions.
• Execute and review period‑end close procedures.
• Provide technical accounting expertise and direction to business unit management teams during the close cycle.
• Act as the direct interface and main point of contact for business unit teams, assisting on projects and resolving business challenges.
• Provide direct support during interim and year‑end external financial statement audits, fulfilling audit requests timely and liaising with external auditors.
• Assist with the development of accounting support staff.
• Implement and maintain controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience.
• Solid foundation of accounting, including GAAP and current financial issues.
• Working knowledge and understanding of IFRS.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
• Proven ability to multi‑task in a high volume, deadline‑driven environment, completing tasks promptly and following up on outstanding issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey financial information clearly and build strong relationships.
• Knowledge of and experience with ERP systems and consolidation software (SAP, IFS, Oracle, JDE, Hyperion, One Stream, etc.), Microsoft Office applications, and very strong Excel skills.

Base pay range: $95,000 to $106,000 during the first year of employment.
