Salary/Hourly Rate$75k - $85k
Position OverviewThe Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll using ADP Workforce Now. This role ensures employees are paid correctly, payroll taxes are properly calculated and remitted, and all payroll-related records comply with federal, state, and company regulations.
Responsibilities- Process full-cycle payroll (weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly) using ADP Workforce Now.
- Maintain employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, and deductions.
- Review and validate timekeeping data, overtime, and adjustments prior to payroll submission.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and tax regulations.
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Manage garnishments, benefits deductions, and other payroll with holdings.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for Finance, HR, and leadership teams.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries accurately and professionally.
- Assist with year-end processes including W-2 preparation and audits.
- Support internal and external audits related to payroll and compensation data.
- 2–5 years of payroll processing experience.
- Hands‑on experience with ADP Workforce Now required.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with multi‑state payroll processing preferred.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in HRIS integrations or time and attendance systems.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and deductions processing.
- Prior exposure to audit support or payroll system implementations.
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) is a plus but not required.
- Associate's degree is preferred.
