They are seeking an Accounting Manager to join their growing finance team with the potential to convert to a permanent position
.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and wants to make an immediate impact within a public company. Reporting to the Controller, you’ll play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, process improvements, and day-to-day accounting operations while partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and SEC reporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Oversee general ledger accounting activities and maintain the integrity of the company’s financial records.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances and unusual transactions.
- Support the annual audit and quarterly review process by working closely with external auditors.
- Assist with maintaining and improving internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes.
- Partner with FP&A, Operations, and other business partners to support reporting and business initiatives.
- Help identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting workflows and reporting processes.
- Mentor and provide guidance to members of the accounting team as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA preferred.
- 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience with a combination of public accounting and/or industry experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close processes.
- Public company reporting experience is a plus.
- Experience in life sciences, medical device, manufacturing, or a regulated industry is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is highly desirable.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
