Job Summary

The Hourly Technician at HONDA OF PRINCETON is responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repairs with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks, according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment, accurately identifying the root cause of problems.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, systems, and parts, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspensions.
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Complete repair orders accurately and thoroughly, documenting all work performed, parts used, and time spent.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and dealership policies and procedures during all repair and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and parts department personnel to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs.
  • Continuously update knowledge of Honda vehicle systems, technologies, and repair techniques through training and self-study.
Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; automotive technical school certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Honda vehicles.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in the use of automotive diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
