Business Development Coordinator

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a highly motivated Business Development Coordinator to join our award-winning Business Development team, primarily supporting the Labor and Employment practice, among others.

The Business Development Coordinator will support the implementation of business development goals and activities and will be expected to coordinate day-to-day activities at a fast pace. You'll be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and advancement of critical client-centric business development strategies across the department.

Candidates must be self-motivated, responsive, analytical and detail-oriented, and have outstanding organizational skills. This position requires a high energy level and flexibility with overtime.

Maintaining an in-office presence is important to delivering our services through an integrated and collaborative work culture. This position will be resident in our New York, Philadelphia, Princeton, or Washington, DC office and follows a hybrid 3 day in-office schedule.

What you'll do:

  • Draft and coordinate pitches, RFP responses, and presentations under the direction of managers/ senior managers.
  • Draft and edit correspondence, PowerPoint presentations and visual resources, and other documents, collaborating with colleagues across departments to format, edit, proofread, print, and compile deliverables to firm standards.
  • Leverage firm tools to manage data, conduct research using firm intranet and external platforms, and create reports in support of business development activities.
  • Work in coordination with marketing and events teams to support the development of content for events, identify practice generation targets and opportunities, and conduct event follow-up.
  • Assist with budget development, maintenance, and tracking.
  • Support business development-related operations, including communications, reporting, and experience management.
  • Coordinate responses to ad hoc assignments.

Who we're looking for:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree and three years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services/consulting organization. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Ability to work independently as well as manage projects and assignments in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and database applications and ability to adapt to new technology and programs.
