Superintendent - Life Science Projects

Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to lead our projects within New Jersey. This role manages all on‑site construction activities for complex, high‑profile, highly technical life science projects. Minimum 5 years of similar experience is required.

• Oversee all on‑site construction activities for life science projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications.
• Coordinate and supervise all on‑site personnel, including subcontractors and consultants, to ensure high‑quality work and adherence to project plans.
• Implement and maintain strict quality control procedures, identifying issues or discrepancies and taking corrective action.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project status.
• Provide strong leadership to the project team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, maintaining a safe and secure work environment at all times.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, providing detailed reports to project management.
• Solve on‑site problems or conflicts using negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
• Assess and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, specifically life science or other technical projects.
• Proven experience in quality control with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven leadership abilities with a history of managing teams to successful completion.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations, particularly for life science facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
• Proficiency in construction management software and technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
